Tot 1-2: Beginner Skaters
(Ages 3-5)
This class is perfect for toddlers just starting out on the ice. Skaters will learn how to stand up, fall down safely, and begin marching on the ice. Through fun, interactive games, children build confidence, balance, and coordination while getting comfortable in their skates.
Tot 3-4: Advanced Skaters
(Ages 3-5)
For young skaters who can stand and move on their own, this class focuses on developing more advanced beginner skills. Skaters will work on gliding, dips (knee bends), and beginning stops and turns—all while having fun through creative games that keep them engaged and moving.
Pre-Alpha: Beginner Skating
(Ages 6-14)
This class is designed for beginner skaters who are ready to build a solid foundation on the ice. Skaters will learn essential skills including two-foot glides, one-foot glides, forward and backward swizzles, and backward wiggles. The focus is on developing control and confidence while gliding both forward and backward. No prior skating experience is required—just bring a positive attitude and a willingness to learn!
Alpha: Beginner Level 2
(Ages 6-14)
For skaters who have mastered basic gliding skills, this class focuses on developing stronger forward skating techniques. Skaters will learn forward stroking, forward crossovers, and the snowplow stop. These skills help build power, control, and safe stopping techniques, preparing skaters for more advanced movement on the ice.
Beta: Beginner Level 3
(Ages 6-14)
This class is for skaters who are confident moving forward and ready to strengthen their backward skating skills. Skaters will learn backward stroking, backward crossovers, and T-stops on both the left and right sides. Emphasis is placed on control, balance, and smooth transitions to support overall skating development.
Gamma: Intermediate Level
(Ages 6-14)
Gamma is designed for skaters who have developed strong forward and backward skating skills. In this class, skaters will learn forward outside three-turns, forward inside mohawk combinations, and the hockey stop. These elements introduce turning and quick stopping techniques, helping skaters gain agility and control on the ice.
Delta: Intermediate Level 2
(Ages 6-14)
Delta focuses on refining edge control and introducing more advanced elements. Skaters will work on forward inside three-turns, forward inside and outside edges, lunges or shoot-the-duck, and bunny hops. This class builds strength, balance, and coordination while preparing skaters for more specialized disciplines like freestyle.
Freestyle 1-6: Jumps, Spins & Advanced Skating Skills
(Ages 6-14)
Our Freestyle classes are designed for skaters who have mastered the basics and are ready to develop more advanced figure skating techniques. These levels focus on progressively building skills in jumps, spins, spirals, footwork, and edge control. Skaters move through six levels, each increasing in difficulty while reinforcing proper technique and performance quality.
Adult & Teen Classes:
Beginner to Freestyle
(Ages 15+)
Beginners learn basic gliding, swizzles, and wiggles to build confidence on the ice. As skaters progress, they develop forward and backward stroking, crossovers, stops, and turning skills. Advanced classes introduce complex maneuvers like mohawks, three-turns, edge control, and agility exercises. Freestyle levels focus on jumps, spins, and performance elements, preparing skaters for figure skating and specialized disciplines. No prior experience is needed to start.
Hockey 1 & 2
(All Ages)
Skaters must have passed Pre-Alpha.
Skaters will learn essential skills such as how to turn, stop, perform both forward and backward crossovers, and basic stick and puck handling—all of which are critical for effective movement and control on the ice during gameplay. These skills help build the agility, balance, and coordination needed for the fast-paced, multidirectional skating required in hockey.
